The Long Island Fingerstyle Guitar Club

A community in which fingerstyle guitarists can learn, share ideas, and network through presentations, workshops and performances. Connect with other guitarists Learn more about the art of acoustic guitar playing Grow as a musician

Dedication:

In 2002, a phenomenal guitarist and dear friend, Patrick Quilliam (a.k.a. Pokey Moe), organized a fingerstyle guitar concert at which he and other guitarists performed for family and friends. After the concert, some of us discussed forming a guitar club to network, learn, and share ideas with other guitarists. Sadly, Pat passed away in 2006. This club is dedicated to him.

Celebrating our 15th Year!

Many of our club members have collaborated on original songs and have recommended their fellow club members for gigs and other opportunities to perform outside the club. We've hosted some outstanding guitar workshops and house concerts and have had many talented artists come through our doors such as Stephen Bennett, Duck Baker, Joe Carbone, Stefan Grossman, Kerry Kearney, Woody Mann, Toby Walker, Glen Weiser etc. In addition, we host an annual LIFGC guitar showcase and the Music Heals the Heart fundraiser.  We welcome you to visit our club either as a player or listener to enjoy some great music! We remember the following performers and club members that have been a part of the LIFGC family: Steve Anglis Tom Buckley Joe Carbone Frank Celenza Jeff Curtis Woody Mann
