=========================== Lisa and Dan had this crazy idea to start a club of likeminded fingerstyle players where we could meet monthly and share our love of fingerstyle guitar – no flat picks allowed! It was an obviously crazy idea that would never that make it past three meetings. Doomed to abysmal failure. Dead on arrival. Never get off the ground. Crash and burn for sure. That was 15 years ago. And we’re still going, 150 meetings later! Why? Love. Love? Yes, Love! Love for music .. especially guitar music Love for the craft of playing .. the practicing, the woodshedding and getting it absolutely perfect at home and then completely blanking in front of a small crowd Love for the magic of what can happen live, especially with others Love and respect for each other, as evidenced by the pindrop, silent room when friends are performing. Love and welcoming in a fantastically acoustic room, purpose-built for friendship and spirituality. They call it the “Friends Meeting House” for a reason!
